Here is a small but enticing update on the master.

1/24 Scale Type 9 Shuttle Craft

The class-2 shuttle, also referred to as a type-9 shuttle craft, was an auxiliary space vessel utilized by Starfleet for use as an embarked craft from starships.

This class was widely used during the 2360s by Starfleet Academy, and were often the cause of "class-2 claustrophobia" for the cadets who served aboard them, as they were, according to B'Elanna Torres, "fast, maneuverable, but not built for comfort." Tom Paris added that "they used to shoehorn half a dozen cadets into one of these things for weeks at a time," adding, "you did not want to be around when they opened up that airlock." (VOY: "Drone")

A standard class-2 shuttle has a top speed of warp 4. (VOY: "Resolutions") However, in 2372, the crew of USS Voyager discovered a new form of dilithium that could remain stable at a much higher warp frequency, and modified the Class 2 shuttle to achieve high-warp engine performance, reaching significantly past warp 9. (VOY: "Threshold")

As with other Starfleet shuttles of the era, these shuttles were equipped with phasers, and can be retrofitted with photon torpedoes. (VOY: "Dark Frontier", "Bride of Chaotica!” et al.)

The main Nacell body is cast in translucent blue and the Nacell nose is cast in translucent red so they can be lit up.

Here are a few teaser pictures of what is on the bench right now. This beautiful kit is being mastered by a fantastic Canadian Artist. We should have this kit ready before Wonderfest 2008.

The kit will feature an interior, one pilot, one passenger, rear door and retractable engine pods. Options are subject to change based on what the designer is capable of actually doing.

Right now there seems to be no changes needed to accomplish this fantastic model with the options I listed above.

Price is still TBD but should be in the $155.00 - $170.00 + shipping.

1/24 Scale MK VII Viper

We have just purchased the masters from Scifi Models for this incredible kit of the Viper MK VII in 1/24 scale. We have modified this kit from it's original master to be more accurate to the CGI versions seen on screen.
